What Procurement Services Can JPLS Provide?

JPLS offer 2 procurement models to our customers as detailed below:

Model 1

JPLS source products, based on the customer specification provided, and then deal directly with multiple UK suppliers, negotiating the best purchase price possible and pay and purchase directly on behalf of the customer on a purchasing agent basis. If acceptable, JPLS pays the supplier directly, including the VAT (which isn’t charged to the customer – see below) and arranges collection and delivery to the JPLS Rainham logistics centre.

Model 2

JPLS source products, based on the customer specification provided, and then deal directly with multiple UK suppliers, negotiating the best purchase price possible. JPLS notify the customer of the pricing, terms, etc. and if acceptable, the customer pays the supplier directly, claims the VAT back themselves and arranges delivery to the JPLS Rainham logistics centre.

What Products Can JPLS Source on my Behalf?

JPLS currently focus on the below, but can consider other products if required, so please call for further details:

• We take the stress and hassle out of purchasing products from UK suppliers and then shipping them to the Caribbean.
• We do all the work, so you don’t have to.
• Some UK suppliers will quote higher prices to overseas buyers, as they fear extra costs such as additional export administration fees and bank charges.
• JPLS offer a full procurement service that includes all activities from sourcing and purchasing products through to delivering them to your destination port of choice in the Caribbean or indeed worldwide.
• With JPLS buying the products on your behalf, you don’t have to worry about upfront VAT charges and the associated time and cost of claiming it back.
• JPLS consolidate multiple orders into one shipping consignment, thus saving on administration, space and document charges.
• We provide one invoice for all charges, and thus only one payment required (dependent on procurement model utilised) which saves time and potential transactional bank charges.
